What is average cost for front brake replacement on 2000 Mustang (in Oregon)?
I'm looking at trading my 1998 Dodge Neon for a 2000 Ford Mustang. This is in Medford, Oregon. They say this Mustang needs new rotors and pads. About how much would it cost to do a brake job on this car, at independent shop?
Added (1). Also, this is just a Mustang. Not a GT or Cobra. Auto trans and appears to be all stock.
They? Who is "they"? If the seller of this vehicle is "they" you do not trust what they have to say about anything. Your interests as a buyer are not aligned with the seller. Second, you need to hop on Yelp and find 2-3 independent repair shops where you can't only get a quote on what a brake job would be for this car but also a thorough Pre Purchase Inspection for this car. This is especially important since you do not know enough about cars to inspect or judge the mechanical condition of this car or any car on your own.

When I push the brake pedal the lights don't come on but when I push the brake switch up with my hands Manualy the brake lights come on? Any ideas why the switch is not working when I push the brakes and lights come on when I push it by hand?
