What is a good but cheap exhaust system for a 1997 mustang v6 3.8l?
I just bought a 1997 ford mustang v6 3.8L I would like it to have a little bit of that muscle sound…
The American Thunder exhaust system made by Flowmaster will cost you around $345. It's the most affordable system made for 1997 Mustang, I managed to find online.
Honestly, I wouldn't bother. It's not going to sound like a V8 no matter what you do. The 3.8L has a rather agricultural engine note, it sounds like a tractor rather than a muscle car If you insist on going through with this, I'd for someone milder like Flowmaster delta flow 50.
I know V6 people hate hearing this "get a GT" stuff But IN All HONESTY the only way you're going to get a muscle sound from it is to add 2 more cylinders.
- Which exhaust/exhaust system would work best for my car? I own a 1970 Ford Torino (Brougham) with a 351 Cleveland engine running on stock exhaust. I want to upgrade the exhaust (I'm thinking Flowmaster) but like, does the whole exhaust system need to be done, or like half? I need your help making my baby roar lol. Please give me your best suggestions and approximate cost.
- Suggestions for Ford Mustang GT CA smog legal exhaust system? I just purchased a 2005 Mustang GT, and I'm looking to improve the sound while still being California emissions legal. Don't know much about exhaust tuning… I love how some cars crackle and pop on liftoff. What can I do to get that? Upgrading performance and cost aren't a big deal to me, I just want it to sound better than stock and give it some more noise.
