What Ford mustang from the 90s - 2005 is the fastest and cheap to buy?

I'm just checking prices to fix a 67 mustang but I need to sit a different engine but I want to buy a fast cheap mustang to take it apart and put the engine and transmission on my 67 mustang.
Now I'm not really good at cars and don't know much of Ford cars, I'm more a Chevy person like I know little bit of Chevy engines.

Fast + cheap do not equal… You can either buy cheap, or expensive

So you want to do an engine/transmission swap on your 67 Mustang, but you don't know much about cars? That's interesting. Also conventional wisdom suggests that it'll be cheaper to purchase a crate engine/transmission than a a whole car, you can get a brand new 375+ HP 347 stroker and a beefed up T-5 or AOD for an outlay of about $6000, and you won't have to deal with the hassles of fitting wider modular engine or the electronics that comes with them.
