What does I tune up consist of for a 2005 Ford Mustang GT?
I own a 2005 Ford Mustang GT and I never got any service records from the car lot it was bought from or any service records from previous owners so now I'm looking at possibly having to do a tune up on my car and I need to know what a tune up for my car consists of. I want to know what is changed and done in a tune up. I already changed the oil in it and all that's left is the tune up. Serious answers only please. Provide links if possible.
A word to the wise: All the motor needs is a set of spark plugs BUT for gosh sakes have a Ford dealer do it for you. They are very tricky to remove WITHOUT pulling the threads out of the cylinder heads. This is exactly why Ford discontinued every engine that came in all 2005 Ford cars.
- Why is my '98 Ford windstar is running rough after a tune up? I changed out the plugs and wires and it ran good for a day or two but has a lot of hesitation at lower rpms but if I speed up it goes away. Also have a gas smell in my air conditioning when I'm stopped but not while driving. Can anyone help? I'm tired of putting money in this thing.
