Should I do payments at 18?
I really really… Really want a Ford Mustang 2015 because I can't just a stop thinking about me driving one I literally think about it everyday. I'm 17 and I have a job but I'm going into my senior year and plan on graduating. Is it worth it to have a job in college paying off loans and car payments. I don't want to be stuck with just those two everyday I want to have a little fun. Will getting this mustang mess me up?
Do not fixate on this. Until you have a steady full time job and a credit rating over 600 you are not going to get financed unless your parents are willing to cosign a loan for you. And now, it is not worth it to be making loan payments while in college. Even if you could get a loan, you are too young to live this close to the financial edge.
The insurance payment would mess you up, let alone the car and student loan payments. Can you afford a insurance payment of about $200.00(or more) a month?
Treat yourself to one when you get a lucrative paying job after graduation.
Hi we all have dreams at 17 years old however as you don't have the income unless daddy is a millionaire that is this is beyond your budget. So like the rest kid just keep dreaming and learn to drive without hitting things. And getting into accidents which you will do no matter if it is your fault or not.
Don't get in debt you can avoid early in your life. Keep your dream of a new Mustang but put yourself in a position that you can keep all of your debts and obligations manageable and still be able to live. If I have one regret, that's it. I would make sure to keep all my debts paid on time and never have to default on any of them. Just 1 mistake can ruin a lot of opportunities later and be a bump for the rest of your life. Its better to get you a used, older car now and reap the benefits later when you won't be handicapping yourself. Enjoy being young and in school as long as you can educate yourself and make yourself as marketable as possible. You do that and the means to one day get that dream car will come to you.
NO
Because there are many more important things to worry about with your life right now besides a car that you can't afford to buy or probably insure either! Get through college, get a decent job, and then maybe by then you will be in a better position financially to get one then, but right now it would be straight out STUPID to get one just cause.
As an 18 year old myself, believe me. Nothing would make me more happy than to drive a new 2015 f150. You need to realize the kind of debt you could be in. Go out and get a decent car for a decent price, get your education and go from there. Do not put yourself in debt at such a young age.
- WHICH CAR SHOULD WE LOOK INTO BUYING? We looking to buy a family car 5 door, we were thinking in the line of maybe a corsa or somethink like a citroen or maybe a ford cmax any idear as we never own any of these.
- What RPM should my car idle while driving and what RPM should I shift? I have a 2003 Ford Mustang V6. 5 speed manual transmission. This is not the first manual car I've owned, but I'm curious. I never really look but I've read in some places that in order to save gas you should shift at 2 RPM before I used to shift at around 3-3.5 RPM. Also what's a good RPM my car should idle at while I'm in gear? Let's say I'm driving in 3rd gear. What's the ideal RPM to stay at before needing to shift.
- Can I transfer my car payments and car to a 17year old from a buy here pay here place? A family friend told me he d sell me his 98 Ford v8 supercharged mustang for 500$ because he needs it gone. Back to the question, my friend is 17 and desperately needs a car would I be able to transfer the jeep and payments into his name? I love the jeep and all but not the 10mpg any help would be awesome!
