When should I upgrade my car?

I currently have a 2006 Ford Mustang V6. I bought this with a loan a little over a year ago and am still paying off the loan, however I'm trying to decide whether to start looking for an upgrade to a newer year. First off, I don't like the limited options in my current car. The stereo is highly outdated and the only things my dashboard shows is the standard gauges and the mileage/trip meter, not even __ to empty. Second, there are a couple minor issues happening with the car that I'm reluctant to fix because I don't want to throw money at a problem that will keep recurring, I'd rather put the money towards a newer car that will last longer. Any advice?

O2 Sensor Codes for smog?

I just bought a 2016 Ford Mustang GT that had 3 inch headers and an exhaust system already installed on it, it also came BAMA tuned with a couple of other smaller mods. When I tried to smog it here in Washoe County they gave me two o2 sensor codes saying that I just need to drive it to set the monitors for the codes. I took it to the mechanic a couple of weeks later after driving it constantly and hes telling me that the tune that the previous owner gave the car must have shut off the o2 sensor monitors? Because they both say N/A on his diagnostic tool. My car doesn't have a check engine light it just doesn't pass smog. I bought a O2 Sensor spacer hoping to get around the issue but I didn't realize I would need two, one for each rear o2 sensor, so I haven't installed them yet. I'm thinking about going to a tuning shop and talking to them about it but I'm not sure, if anyone has any ideas that would be great thank you

Where does the boss 302 stand on on the ford engine line?

Ford has alot of good engines and I read the boss 302 is a rear engine, they also say it's one of the biggest, and the 427 sohc is the biggest and most powerful so out of the boss 302, boss 429 (I think is the right number) and 427 sohc what would it be goijg from bigger and most powerful to lower engine you d use as a more standard engine? Also which engine would be best in a 1969 and even a 2011 or 2010 (if you wanted to put the same engine in an older and newer mustang.)

My question is about storing a car outside in the winter for a few months?

I live in northern Minnesota but I always go south for the winter for about 3 or 4 months. I've got a 2001 Ford Mustang V6 with a hundred and thirty-five thousand miles. I'm planning on leaving it in a friend's backyard for the winter. Is there any precautions I can take in order for the vehicle to not be dead upon my return. I heard turning it on and letting it run once a week will help?

Transmission problems 2006 ford mustang 4.0l v6. All the gears save for reverse work fine?

Once you shift to reverse, which takes no more effort than any other gear, it'll roll backwards, but no matter how much gas you give it, it won't accelerate. It has a sealed transmission, so I can't check the transfluid level. I've lifted it in the air and checked for a level check plug but could only find a drain. There's no dipstick, nor leaks. There's a slight leak on the rear diff, but there's plenty of clean fluid in it. There are no present codes that pull up in the obd scanner. I think it may be a shift solenoid, but don't know how to go about testing it. Does anyone have any other suggestions what it may be? Or possibly how to test the calibration of the solenoid? Car only has 140, xxx miles. I'm at a loss here. Dealership wants to charge 200 for service, but I don't think that it needs a fluid exchange, that and it's never been serviced (due to being a no service needed trans.) I myself am an automotive technician of 5+ years, but neither myself or any coworkers can figure out what's going on.
