Is this offer worth it?

It's a 2006 Ford mustang Gt with 74k miles on it. The price is $10,995 and its red with a red interior. Monthly payments estimate around $185 a month. Its from a used car dealership. It looks like its in good condition. I wanna test drive it, take it to a mechanic make sure everything is good before buying it. But before doing all that, what y'all think about this offer? Does it sound good? Or should I pass?

I think that's really high.

One thing I learned a long time ago is to NEVER buy a used car.

Even if the car looks great on the outside and even appears to run well, you truly never know how the car was. If the person or dealership selling the car knows bad things about it, they will never tell you.

IIf I were you I would just save for a little bit and buy something new.

Really, a Ford with 75K on it for more than $10,000? I would definitely pass, but that's just me.

If you are going to go through with it, at least have a mechanic look at the car. If you have a friend who is a mechanic that's even better.

I think its high priced but here is the problem, if you don't buy it someone else will at the high price. You can always try to talk them down and most likely they will come down in price. Then you said Ford mustang Gt so it could have been ran really hard and not is the best condition so you are wise to have a mechanic look at it and I sure would look at how hard its been driven.

The approximate current market value of a 2006 Ford Mustang GT (Deluxe trim level) in very good condition with 74k miles is $9,300 from a dealership. Nearly a grand more of a Premium trim level edition.

Call up your insurance company and ask them how much it will cost for you to insure it considering the car and your age. You may find the insurance will cost you more than the car each month.

Go to Kelley Blue Book and check it out. They'll give the price that the car is worth. The dealer will bump that up a bit in order to make a profit, though. Don't forgot to think about insurance costs.

I have no idea where you live but you can easily research similar cars for sale in your area online and compare the prices. If you really like this particular car, that's also worth $omething to you - nobody with a soul buys a car purely as transport after all - and you may want to pay extra for the privilege. Car yards know this and will try to take advantage of you, so don't let your heart rule your head. Enjoy.

Keep saving and pay cash, don't pay it off. Do the math your $10 000 car is going to cost you $30 000

Tl;dr no

  • How much is a stock all original 1969 ford f100 worth? Its all original with a 360 V8, three speed on the tree manual transmission, 2 barrel carb. I mean nothing has been changed besides the gas and oil. The color is faded blue, there's no rust in the cab or in the bed. A little surface rust but no holes.
  • Is 2000 a low ball offer on a 2700 dollar car on craigslist? He stopped messaging me after i offered that. Its a 2000 ford expedition, looks really good, 190k miles
  • How much is my 1979 Ford F350 Custom worth? 1979 ford f350 custom with a 351 Cleveland. 12,779 original miles and me being the second owner. It's a flat bed with the original rack that matches the paint job. Everything is all original. Used as a hay truck during summers and stored in a barn during the rest of the seasons. No rips or tears in the seat, just a few minor dings here and there but everything works.
  • Does Ford offer auto driving in any of its current fleet of vehicles? And by auto driving, I mean where you can tell the car to go at a set speed and maintain it's position in the lane and then deal with any slow downs and stop and go traffic. Sorry if auto driving is not the right term. It's just if I'm on a long freeway trip, I'd like to be able to let the car do the driving for a little while.
