I have a 2010 Ford Mustang. My check engine light came on after the AC started blowing out hot air. Any idea what could be wrong?

Try reading the codes.

No, but your car has an idea

Check the antifreeze level in the radiator… Not just the reservoir. You may have a leak and the CEL came on for over heating the motor.
Check to make sure the drive belts are all on the motor yet.

I would assume it's something to do without the compressor. Take it to a local parts store and have them check the code.
