How to launch a manual car at the track?
So when i move up to the line at the track to race and stop, My Clutch is in, 1st gear is in, while tapping the gas to the right rev. Guessing it to about 2,200 / 3,000 rpm. But while in 1st/clutch in/and reving i see my car slowly starting to move forward. Does anyone know how do i launch it without it slowly creeping before going? Do i need to step on the brake and clutch at the same time? Please help (O:
I own a,
2008 Ford Mustang GT with a Roush supercharger and upgraded pulley.

If your car keeps creeping forward with the clutch pedal pressed, this shows the clutch to be dragging, needing adjustment (or you need to press the pedal down further) so it releases drive completely between the engine and transmission. The dragging condition needs to be fixed because it will wear the clutch faster than usual and damage the transmission every time you change gear. Until then, you can hold the car stopped at the line using the hand-operated parking/emergency brake (releasing it as you lift your foot off the clutch pedal to go).
Keep in place with the hand-operated Handbrake or Emergency Brake, as you Americans call it.
- Why can't i change gears on my manual transmission car? I have a 2004 ford ranger 2.3 4 cylinder with manual transmission. I can turn it on but I'm not able to shift gears. Is it the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder or transmission?
- Is it possible to get an automatic 2014 Mustang GT or are they all manual? My first car is more than likely going to be a 2014 Ford Mustang. I kinda want a Mustang GT but I don't know how to drive a manual and I don't recall ever seeing an automatic Mustang GT. Is it even possible to find one?
- Manual transmission. Car revs when accelerating? I have a 91 Ford probe and just changed the clutch. While in gear, (2-5) when I mash the gas pedal to accelerate, the RPMs increase as if the clutch is engaged slightly
- 2000-ford sport track explorer. Air shocks or just heavy duty shocks all around the vehicle Got some air shocks for free and they will fit my truck but i do not want them to blow if i load it up or hit a big pothole. will they ride like regular shocks or are the good heavy duty ones better. some are 17.00 each and others are 60.00 each… Air shocks where free… if i use air shocks in back what should i put on front? I never carry over 300 pounds.
