Ford Mustang- V6 or 4Cyl Ecoboost? Which is better? Which is more reliable and cheaper maintenance? - 1

If you want a V6 Mustang, you had better hurry-up and get one because it will not be available after 2017 (only the V8 and 4-cylinder Ecoboost engines from Ford for 2018). The V6 with manual gearbox would be more enthusiast-oriented than the turbo-4, or either engine with automatic transmission. The V6 engine is lighter for better handling; gives instant response with no turbo lag, durability or drivability issues; sounds great (apparently, the turbo-4 does not); and achieves about the same fuel economy as the 4-cylinder.

Hi sorry but insurance cost is related to performance so poor performance cheaper insurance,.

Better depends on your priorities, if better is more economical and cheaper to run then the 4 cylinder Ecoboost is better. If better is faster and more fun to drive through a tunnel then a V6 is better.

The 4 Cylinder is going to be more economical and have cheaper maintenance. Reliability should be pretty equal, though even with two identical cars, one can be more reliable than the other, reliability is more down to driving style and luck than it is down to the car.

  • 2015 Ford Mustang Fastback V6 or the 2015 Ford mustang 2.3L ecoboost? I'm trying to decide which of the two to get I heard online the eco boost is surprisingly a little faster then the V6 edition. it gets roughly 4 more MPG then the V6. the ecoboost will be about 1500 more then the V6 fast back lets assume its going to be my main vehicle. which one should I get and why? And which is superior? Your thoughts please. I'm not a gearhead so don't get too technical on me without using things I'll understand lol
