Ford mustang for first car?
When I'm 18 I'm thinking about getting a 2014 ford mustang I've an still am growing up with a mustang that's 03 now bit I really like them and i don't know if I want one or not but my mind always changes about what I see me driving for my first car tho
Well the real question is: can you afford having one? Mustangs have pretty bad gas mileage and also have expensive insurance on top of the 30k or more the car itself costs. If you don't think that's a big deal then go ahead.
As a first car I would say no (and this is coming from a mustang owner)
while you're not a complete novice driver (if you got your license at 16) insurance is still going to be ridiculously high for you. Because there's still a pretty decent chance you'll screw up. And while that wouldn't really matter if you had a beater or something, if you have a nice car IT WILL SUCK!
Not to mention at 18 you're probably going to start having to worry about more expensive things (like college or an apartment) that the money would probably be better spent on at this point. So again, for right now I would say no… And I would wait until I had my affairs more in order AND was old enough where insurance wouldn't be as much of a problem.
Its a pretty good car but its not cheap, if your looking for a gas saver look at other cars.
- Mustang or jetta for first car? Well I'm getting ready to buy my son his first car and he's really interested in ford mustangs(1999-2004) and volkswagen jettas(2000-2004). Which car is more reliable? Like will it last him a good amount of years? Which car has parts that are cheaper and easier to fix? I'm planning on getting him a base model of either car like just a v6 engine and stuff.
- Is a Mustang a good first car? I'm a 16 year old male and I'm going to get a car when I get my license. My dad texted me and told me this might be my first car. The car is a 1998 Ford Mustang. It has the 3.8L V6 with a 5-speed manual transmission. I don't know how to drive a manual. The car has 180,000 miles. It's burgundy with a gray cloth interior. It has a dual exhaust and Mustang GT rims. Is it a bad idea? My grampa has a 2000 Ranger that he said I can take any time.
- Is a Ford Mustang v6 2006 a good first car? I'm a new driver and looking to get my first car and I've always had a thing for Mustangs so I figured I night as well get one I first fell in love with which happens to be the v6 2006. Not a really pricey car But is it a good first car?
- Is a 2005-07 Ford Mustang a good first car for a guy? I'm 15 and getting my permit soon. I want to have a car for practice so I was thinking of getting a little Pontiac g6 to practice on and when I feel like I've progressed to maybe get a 2005-07 mustang! Good idea or no? Please give your thoughts. You can also tell me other good cars but no camrys or civics (not into them).
