Ford Mustang engine swap to for lightning engine? Possible?

Mustang 97 with a 02 ford lightning 5.4 engine can it be done? I was just wondering I want to start working on my car but want a engine swap.

If both were older that '96, maybe a possibility. You don't have enough money or time to do that swap.

ADDED: fodaddy didn't mention the ECU, TCU and wiring harness.

If you have the money it's possible. For starters you'd have to address the hood height. Just a n/a 5.4L requires an aftermarket hood when used in a Mustang, Add a supercharger and things get even more crowded. It's not a very practical swap at all.

You'll also need the following

new transmission
new driveshaft
new rear axle
new front springs/struts
new radiator
new fuel pump
new motor mounts (if you have a V6 Mustang)
new exhaust
new hood
and many more bits and pieces

Anything is possible with enough time, money, resources, and skill my friend.

It can done but you'll need a new driveshaft new transmission cowl hood new rear end and positive traction etc
