Ford Mustang 6th Gen Body Material?

For some reason there's not a soul on the Internet that can tell me what the body material is made of. I literally searched for 30 minutes and found nothing. Is it fiber glass? Or what?

Get a magnet and see if it is ferromagnetic!
Not sure, but I think most of the body material is steel.
Parts of the body (trim, fascia's and other parts) are injected plastic's.
Ford has been doing a lot of formerly steel body parts in aluminum, but I haven's seen anything suggesting they have switched the Mustang over.
No it is not fiberglass! Ford avoided production cars made with that material for a reason. If you need to know why- ask a Corvette owner about how stones in the road ruin the car. If that fails go to a hot rod meet and ask around there. One Corvette owner I know tells me every time he goes over a speed bump he can hear the car cracking some place.

Some parts may be fiberglass.

If the body is fiberglass, such information should be available on the Ford website.

Soft plastic/vinyl or whatever front & rear facias… Rest is steel except I here that some have aluminum hoods. Our last couple 'stang's window stickers include the actual weight of the individual car as it left the assembly line… With all the aluminum (engine, trans case, etc) our present GT convert weighed 3968 pounds (!) … There's got to be a lot of iron/steel in there to weigh that much!

  • Do some car batteries that would fit a 1995 Ford Taurus SW have a smaller body/core than others? I recall that the last time I had a battery installed at Les Schwab they had a rough time getting it to fit properly. Took nearly two hours. Would it be possible to ask for a battery that is physically a bit smaller this time--or are they all exactly the same size?
  • Are ford ranger body parts for a 4 cyl and v6 interchangeable? I have a 2004 ford ranger 2.3. I went to a salvage yard to get a hood for my truck since mine was really bent. The guy had one hood left and he said it should work. I put it on my truck but it would not close. I slammed it down and still would not close. The shape looks like it belongs to my truck but it just wouldn't close. All sales are final so i couldn't return the hood. I put the old hood back on and that one closes properly
  • Why do they treat the second and third gen of mustangs as if they weren't there? What I mean is that ford example when the mustang fan page uploads pictures of mustangs they never upload second or third gen mustangs. Then when ford made a mustang trailer for the 2015 mustang they made a time lapse of how mustang evolved. They put in the 1st and 5th gen. In that one they happened to skip the fourth gen for some reason. And when you go on wikipedia to see how many mustangs they've sold they skip from the first gen to the fourth gen.
  • Is the 2013 ford mustang a unibody or frame body? I crashed my 2013 Ford Mustang GT/CS and i'm just curious if its going to be totaled. One the airbags went off and also the whole front of the car crumpled up… But the big medal frame is still good… One of the guys that picked up the car said it will probably be repairable due to the frame or unibody being intact… I want to know if its a unibody or frame built.
