Do you think am I able to afford a brand new Ford Mustang GT convertible manual with at least $28K down for an average 18 year old makes $20K?

I'm interested with this car and I want to know if I can afford it.

If you can put 28k down, yes you can afford the car.

Get an insurance quote first. You will likely change your mind. Open a stock brokerage account and put your money in Google and Apple stock.

If you need to ask, you can't afford it.
That 28k should cover your first year's insurance.

No I don't. Insurance will be costly even if obtainable. 18 year olds and Mustangs mean high risk.

You make $20,000 a year and want a $46,000 car that costs a fortune to insure?

Are you insane?

No, you can't afford it That's basically a $45000 car and with no credit history without a co-signer you will never get a loan to cover the $17000 you don't have much less the $500 a month insurance policy

At 18 and making payments and insurance no

If you have to ask HERE, the answer is NO!

No. The insurance will be astronomical. Plus do you want to live at home forever?

With that income, no. Use your common sense and buy a used car.

  • Driving a 98 ford ranger 20k miles a year? 98 ranger 180k miles in phenomenal shape but my new job Has a decent commute and I'd be driving about 20-25k miles. Regardless of the gas mileage is it ok to drive a truck that old that much? It's all high way miles about 55 mph very few turns and very little stop and go.
  • Do you think the Brand New Ford ranger needs more engine options? I think the 2.3 Ecoboost is very capable, but in many cases, stronger engines distinguish more premium (or) sportier trims from the Base trim. Do you feel that higher priced trims need a V6 to compete against others in the segment?
  • Is it a good idea for an 18 year old to buy a $20,000 Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang or a challenger? I just graduated HS getting into college and I'm thinking of buying a used or brand new car ( listed above) I have about 5000 for down payment. But I'm just not sure if it's a good financial decision, but at the same time I really want the car. Please leave your opinion below! My credit score is like 650!
