Car started up but died while warming up. Turns over but will not start again?

or have some tow your car to the repair shop to have them look at it.
Make sure to feather (lightly press) the gas pedal when trying to start it. From what you describe it sounds like it's not getting enough fuel, but it's hard to say.
Water in the gas.
Check if the car has fuel. Get a jump. Car starts, get the battery charged and load tested and check the charging system. No start, step lightly on the gas pedal while starting. Car starts, check for a bad idle air control valve. Still no start, check for trouble codes with a scan tool. Check for spark and fuel pressure while cranking. Get the car towed if you can't wrench. Fuel pump could have failed.
