Buying a used mustang with 125k miles?
I'm looking to buy a used mustang. It is a 2006 Ford mustang gt with 125k miles for $6,000. It is all stock and appears to be in good condition. If well maintained is this alot of miles for a 4.6L modular v8? What should I look out for? Is this a good deal?
Well why wouldn you do that dummy
You need to look @ the edmunds site to see about the pricing and have a mechanic do a good inspection before you buy it… Remember that V8 will gett poor fuel mileage
125,000 miles is about average for an 11-year-old car in the USA. BUT… It's still an 11-year-old car. It's NOT going to be trouble free forever, and it WILL need occasional repairs to replace worn out parts. The OWNER'S MANUAL is your friend. READ IT and follow the maintenance recommendations.
No owner's manual with the car? BUY ONE and THEN read it.
If it was properly maintained, the engine will probably get at least twice than many miles. There are a lot of little things an expert can look at to tell if they took care of it.
The years are probably more to worry about than the miles.

Hi so no it is not a good deal still well passed it's crush date. It is not a 1960 model.
Not a bad buy always try to negotiate but looks good n will be a solid project car. Also get it inspected by a mechanic n check the carfax before buying
Go for it.
- I'm buying a used vehicle today, Does it need to be inspected again? I'm buying a 1999 Ford Taurus today from a Private owner. The owner has had the vehicle inspected months earlier, and the car passed and is currently running fine. Does the car need to be reinspected once I buy the car to get my own tags on it?
- What to look for when buying a used 2004 Ford Mustang? I'm going to look at a 2004 Ford Mustang this week. It has 101,000 miles on it. If I but it it will be my first car, so I want to make sure that it is in great shape and won't break down in me. Check the link and tell me if it is a good deal. What do I look for when inspecting it? Thanks! http://maine.craigslist.org/cto/4454973116.html
- Do you think buying a used certified truck from a rental car company is a good idea? I was looking to buy a certified ford f150 from a respectable dealership. It has the certified warranty with it. It is a 2017 with 17,000 miles on it. It came from enterprise rental cars. Do you think the car was beat up as its time as a rental car or it being a certified car they would have found its problems.
- I own a 2015 Ford Escape with 30,000 miles and runs good. My prior vehicle had over 150,000 miles and I used Gumout Regane high mileage fuel? System cleaner. I still have a bottle of the Gumout and wondering if I used it in the Escape, would the Gumout do any harm to it? I suppose I could wait until I get 75,000 miles on it before using but I'm a 3000-4000 miles a year driver and the Gumout would go bad before using it.
