2013 Ford Mustang v6 standard speed?
I have a Mustang and I already know I have to replace the factory drive shaft to a one piece so that it can with stand higher speeds, but I was wondering if there's anything else I should do before taking this car to the track and trying to hit speeds of 150 or so.

Try to learn about cars BEFORE you start spending any money because in my opinion you have a lot to learn as of yet.
There's an old saying that aptly applies…"Speed costs money so how fast do you want to go"
Never heard of a restrictive drive shaft.
If you want to go fast in a straight line, start building the engine, not the freaking drive shaft. Drive shaft is probably the last thing you need to upgrade. Now if you were building a track car, suspension, tires, and brakes first. Maybe some light engine modifications. Later on you can add power once you have a good suspension/wheel/brake set up.
You have it backward. You already have the 1 piece drive shaft. You will need to go to the 2 piece unit. It is limited to 112 mph by the computer so you will have to have it reprogrammed. Highly unlikely you will reach 150 even with the 2 piece driveshaft.
Having owned a few Mustangs, I can tell you right now a stock V6 isn't going anywhere near the 150 mph mark.
You're not going to hit 150 MPH even with a balanced one-piece driveshaft. Even on a relatively fast racetrack like VIR (Grand Course) much more powerful cars like C7's and GT500's are barely getting over 150 MPH on the fastest parts of the course. Your V6 Mustang will not come close to that.
" I already know I have to replace the factory drive shaft to a one piece "
What else do you know? The drive shaft makes virtually no difference to speed. The drive shaft is just a link.
- I have a 1985 Nissan standard cab and I want to get a hard tonneau cover. Anybody know who made these? Anybody know what manufacturers originally made tonneaus to fit this year/model truck and if there are any truck boxes that might be similar size and fit? Maybe a new Frontier or Ford Ranger?
- Can I make my five speed to a six speed? I have a 91 Ford Ranger 3.0L V6 five speed. I know it's not an idea vehicle to fix but I enjoy the vehicle much. I would to fix it up, I know to give it a better performance that I have to make a lot of things custom. One thing I'd like to do is change it to a six speed, would it be wise to do so and is it possible? I'm hoping for a little bit gas mileage doing this and maybe faster acceleration?
- Should I trade my 1995 ford mustang v6 5 speed for a 3000gt v6 five speed? Mustang runs and drives, 3000gt runs and drives but need ball joint and a arm. Should I trade if he throws money in for trade?
- 2013 Ford Mustang BOSS 302 or 2015 Ford Mustang 5.0? Looking into buying a mustang this summer. Really looking into the new models, but am also loving the BOSS 302 model… To my understanding people are saying that the 2015 mustang is basically a Boss 302 but even better. Of course thats one pro for the 2015 model, but at the end of the day… A Boss 302 is a Boss 302… No other one like it. Would just like to hear opinions or thoughts on which car would better or which car do hardcore mustang owners prefer?
