2013 Ford Mustang v6 governor?
So I have come to find out my mustang has a governor of 112 I would like to open it up, but I know there are Safty issues. So what do I have to do to my car to make it reach a higher speed with out braking anything like my drive shaft
You seriously want to go faster than 112 mph. Really! If your answer is yes, they you are an utter fool.
You would have to replace the stock driveshaft, if you don't do that then don't even bother with anything else, it's the reason why it's necessary to have a limited 112 MPH top speed. The stock driveshaft has a high chance of failure above 120 MPH and a near-certain failure chance over 130 MPH.
You'll want V rated tires or better. Z rated would be ideal
You'll need a tuner to remove the governor.
As with many things when it comes to V6's and making them faster the common sense answer is "Sell it and get a GT"! Cause those are limited to 150 MPH. (so hopefully that's fast enough for you)
Cause the fact of the matter is the limiter is there for a reason, if you went much faster than 112 MPH in that car, then the car wouldn't be able to handle it and parts would start failing in ways that would get you killed at/past 112 MPH
- Thoughts on 2013 ford mustang? Does anyone have a 2013 or 2014 mustang? What are your thoughts on its performance, driving, comfort, features?
- Is the 2013 ford mustang a unibody or frame body? I crashed my 2013 Ford Mustang GT/CS and i'm just curious if its going to be totaled. One the airbags went off and also the whole front of the car crumpled up… But the big medal frame is still good… One of the guys that picked up the car said it will probably be repairable due to the frame or unibody being intact… I want to know if its a unibody or frame built.
- Check fuel fill inlet. 2013 Ford Mustang? I'm 18, I saved up all my money from work and I just bought a 2013 mustang in cash less then a week ago from a dealership. I bought the gold premium warrenty for 48 months. A message came up that said "check fuel fill inlet" a few days ago. Not positive on what it means, or the severity of it. Some insight would be great.
