2008 Ford Mustang clutch problems?

I have a 2008 Ford mustang v6 stick that is having a problem. Clutch feel is great and has no problems. You can turn the car on and it runs. But when you put it into gear, nothing happens. Even if you leave it in gear and take your foot off the clutch, it stays running. It won't move at all. Does anyone know the cause?

First thing I would check is to make sure the drive shaft is still connected. If so then chase a clutch issue - perhaps it is sticking in full release mode. Clutches wear out very slowly so you would have had an indication that it was getting low on friction pad.

That's a transmission problem, not a clutch problem. Sounds like your tranny is shot.

Have someone in the car with it in gear. While you look underneath it. If drive shaft is moving then you have a rear end or transmission problem. Find local shop at ATRA.COM for more help

Hi yes the thrust bearing has broken as is the case when some one changes the clutch plate and pressure plate. And tries to save money by not replacing the bearing which disintegrates later as has happened here. So it all has to come apart again so extra expense is involved. So when it is apart replace the lot other wise it will happen again as sure as god made little green apples.
