2000 Ford Mustang v6 Reliable?
So I'm looking at a cheap 2000 mustang with 75000 km's (46000 miles) but I'm a little scared of how it will be, the owner now has replaced a few things so that they're new and it seems it has been decently taken care of with there being a little rust on the fender so should I go for it and buy a 17 year old car? They want under 2 grand for it
The only way to know if it's a "good" vehicle is to have a mechanic inspect it… B4 purchase
The mileage is shockingly low for a 17 year old car. I would have it checked out by mechanic of your choosing. Some parts will perish with just age, if the parts that were replaced are consistent with that, I wouldn't worry to much about it. But rust is big red flag, where there's visible rust, there's usually more that you don't see.
Hi so being now some 17 years old it is well past it's warranty period. So you take a chance with it.
Yeah that milage is probally double of what it says and its a 17 year old car that says its a money pit
Lots of good advise. Having somebody run a professional eye over potential purchase can save money. Bearing in mind its age an low cost? It is a simple question of risk. If we can't afford to lose or spend more then it may be best avoided. Low miles is uncommon but if service records are kept and it checks out? Then overall it may give many more years of service. What is possibly a red flag is why sell it? Is it getting to be a possible scrap or major body work oncost? If we ok with such things and see it as a 'project' where car may be off road most of time under repair etc then go ahead. Otherwise do heed advise. Its a bit of a gamble but low stakes .might be a good investment.
- Insurance cost for a 2000 Ford Mustang? I'm 17 years old and this would be my first car. By the time I'll have enough to actually get the car I'll have had my license for about 2 months. I realize there are a lot of factors that go into insurance rates but could somebody give me a price range for this type of car?
- How reliable is the Ford Mustang? Thought about buying one bc I love how cool and sporty the Mustang looks, but wondered about it's reliability, longevity, dependability. I also wonder about which is best, Manual, Automatic, V6, V8, etc appreciate any info I can get on these.
- 2000 ford mustang gt quarter panel? I'm trying to find a 2000 ford mustang gt quarter panel. All I can find is stock from ford and its 1300 dollars. My number got a scratch and I have a huge dent on my quarter panel. My insurance said its scrap but its not a lot of damage. I'm looking for one I can buy off line that I can just weld on and paint. I love this car. I waited 5 years to drive it and I had a month with it.
- 2000 Ford Mustang Gt Gear Ratio? I'm not sure what gear ratio I should go with. I like to floor it and burn out but I also like to dive 100+ without problems. Once and a while I'll drift it. I'm thinking 4.10 but I'm not sure
