He graduated Yale in 1990 from a 3 year program, so started in 1987. He likely graduated in 86-87 from Georgetown Prep.
Ford was 15. He was 17 - he would have been 17 in 1982. She was 15 in 1982.

So even if she IS off on the exact date (doesn't appear to be because it matches up with his calendar) then 1982 would be, guess what, early 1980's.
