Late registration on a 1962 ford thunderbird?

I have a 1962 ford thunderbird that I was told had not been registered fees not paid since 2004. How long before it falls off the computer?

This is rather serious contagious disease. Why are kids not capitalizing proper names? Convenient English? Your name is Xavier. The brand of this car is Ford. The model name is Thunderbird. How old are you? What is this about the registration? Why ask here? Why are you asking about this registration issue? There are FIFTY states and one District of Columbia. They all have different laws and regulations as to cars. How is anyone here going to even guess about this? Are you afraid to call the DMV in your state and find out? Once a car is registered is it not required to pay each year until destroyed. If a car is parked due to whatever reasons it does not have to be registered nor insured. It is not being driven. But this must be a teenager addicted to texting and unable to dial a number to ask, of an expert at a local DMV, abou this issue for HE can't text to that DMV. How tragically is this affecting our kids today. Tragically sad. No parents to ask or text to? No adult family members to ask or text to? No one?

It will not "fall off the computer". Late registration fees, depending on your state of residency, are base on how long they have lapsed. For example, there will be a set late fee if lapsed, 1-30 days, 31 to 90 to days. 91 days to a year, one to two years, etc. Be prepared to pay the maximum.

It probably won't. The car doesn't have to be registered for someone to own it. It simply can't be driven because it doesn't have current tabs. There's no law that says you have to register the car, but there are laws that say it has to be registered to drive it.
