Ford ka stuttering 2004 only when engines warm why?

Stuttering at low revs when engines warm when press down on the accelerator, so does it the worst when stopped at the lights an pulling off and when at low revs in any gear. I was thinking on changing the spark plugs and leads but I only changed the plugs 6months ago could it still be the plugs? Where would you start with the problem? I've also heard that the fuel pump failure is a common fault on ford kas could it be a early sign of that going?

Stuttering could be a sign of lack of air-flow (Check air-filter is clean & dry). However, I'd also make sure the spark plugs are clean and gapped correctly.

I have the same problem on a 2004 with 35k miles. Did you find the cause?

  • Why do fords small sized engines make more power than chevy s? I have a 67 impala with a 283. And I was looking at a spec sheet for different motors from ford of that same year and saw that fords 289 makes 271 horsepower while my 283 only makes 190 where this extra power coming from?
  • 1994 Ford Ranger, Rough Cranking When Engine Is Warm/Hot? - 1994 Ford Ranger - 2.3l Engine - 110k Miles My truck has been having problems cranking when the engine is warmed up/hot. When the engine is cold or hasn't been started for like 2-3hours, it will start right up. I have a few ideas of what it may be, but I would like others opinions also. - ECT Sensor? - ICM? - Crank Sensor? Those are the three I have thought of that could be causing a problem with my situation.
  • Why can't trucks have smaller engines? Wouldnt it be good to have a truck with like a ford escape 4 cylinder 26mpg engine? Does it have to be made for power?
  • My automatic 89 ford bronco 2 won't shift when it gets warm? It has a real hard time shifting out of 1st gear, after it gets past that, it has no problems. It usually starts this when its drove for about 30 min. I've added fluid, fixed all water leaks, and i'm also gonna be messing with the modulater valve today, is there anything else i should check, or what is wrong with it. Thanks. and also, the only way i can get it to change when it does this is when i let off the gas
