Fiat 500 or volkswagen up?
Hi guys I'm 18 and am looking at buying a new car in January. Currently I'm driving my mums old ford ka but it's expensive on tax insurance and I'd like to spend my money on something newer. Insurance is £1300 fully comp for the ka but £900 for the fiat 500 and vw up.
Basically I'm really torn between these 2 cars. I'd like a red car but I'm not sure on the volkswagen up or fiat 500. If you could give me some more info and tell me which one is more reliable etc that would be great
I would personally put my money on a VW before a Fiat, although Fiats are far better now than they were 20 yrs ago!
I guess the '500' is a little more…'qwerky' than the 'Up', but i'm not sure if I would get tired of the looks of it!

Volkswagen Up. It's more reliable than Fiat 500.
- Are Volkswagen good cars? I got into an accident recently and am searching for a good car. I like the VW, and the one I'm looking at is a 2011 VW Jetta gasoline engine and has a manual transmission and has 120,000 miles. I've heard really good about them and really bad. I'm a car enthusiast so it's an nice step from my 2012 Ford Fusion which also was reliable. I'm 17 so I can just go crazy with price but this one is 5k. Should I go for it or get something Japanese?
- Ford Focus, Mazda 3, Volkswagen Golf, or Subaru Outback? I just turned 16 and I want to buy my own car. First off should I buy New or Used? With the New cars, the safety features are better for a new driver like me. But Used cars will be cheaper. Second, which car? Ford Focus, Mazda 3, Volkswagen Golf, or Subaru Outback are the ones I have been looking at. Also, what specific trim and year is the best? I'm looking for an automatic that has good features throughout the entire car.
