Just changed my engine and now its seized?
I just changed my engine on my 2005 ford e250 5.4L v8… The engine was turning over perfectly and now it won't move at all? I tried starting it over, the crank bolt breaker bar, took of the belt and its jammed. Took out the spark plugs and found 1 cylinder full with water, some cylinder full with gas. The engine i bought had been sitting for 3 years. However when i bought i dropped the pan and rotated it physically and it was fine… When i put in the engine it rotated about 4 times and it just stopped… Is there anything else i can do or is it now toast?
I would try going on some type of automotive forum online or making asking a mechanic. I wouldn't know.
Before i even started it i filled it with new oil and the specific amount of oil, could it be rusted or?
It just hydrolocked. Fix the water and gas problems, it's coming from somewhere.
So very, very toast.

Did you put the intake manifold on? It could be that the gasket isn't in place allowing coolant into the cylinder. Also, drain all the gas and water best you can and put some marvel mystery oil or some other lubricant into the cylinder through the plug hole and leave it set for awhile and soak. Sometimes you can luck out and get it to turn like that. Sometimes the cylinder walls will form a film of rust causing the pistons to jam. If its got broken rings of corroded cylinder walls, its gonna rather be ruined, or take some honing or boring to fix. Also a lot of money. If all else fails, you're gonna have to pull the heads to see what's going on. If its a bad head gasket and siezed up piston, then the motor isn't ruined, but it is gonna take a lot to fix. If the cylinder walls are pitted then it is shot if their pitted too deep to safely bore. Will it crank once you took out the plugs? If not, then it is probably seized. That's gonna take a lot of work and quite a bit of money to fix. Especially if you take it to a mechanic to fix. Also, as I before mentioned, if its pitted to deep to bore, then you'll have to take off the usable compenents and haul the rest to the scrap yard.
- Why did my 2000 Ford Windstar just blow all off the tranny fluid out. But now its not leaking anything? I drove it with a trailer attached all day then I dropped the trailer off and drove home. When a was turning on to my street the car violently shuck but kept going I pulled into my drive way and looked under my car and big puddle of tranny fluid everywhere. So I filled it up this morning and drove it 75 miles and when I got back I was still full on fluid and nothing was leaking. So WHY?
- Ford Fiesta 2012 model (69 000km on the clock / 42 000 miles) Aircon has seized - warranty? So I'm wondering - our ford fiesta is covered under warranty until 120 000km and it's on 69 000… We, however, serviced the car through a friend of ours who is a qualified mechanic - and DID use all ford parts. We were driving just the other day and our air con compressor seized. This is practically a brand new car. Is the air con still under warranty if we self serviced the car? It is definitely a manufacturing issue and has NOTHING to do with the service.
- I own a 2006 Ford Expedition. I just had the coil packs and plugs changed? After having them changed, when the truck gets warm. The idle drops down to 250 rpm's and it dies when slowing down to a stop or turning. Can't find any vacuum leak and double checked all electrical connections. Any advice on what it could be?
