Hydraulic valve lifters sometimes take a few seconds (or minutes) to fill with oil.
This is not restricted to any one make.
Yes
HI so the knocking is lack of oil pressure due to the tolerances becoming bigger due to wear of major parts of the engine mains bearings, crankshaft bearings where oil leaks out the sides of the shell bearing so fast no pressure builds up. In other words a knackered engine.
- I think I blew a fuse in my 2002 Taurus. I can't find the fuse and want to know if it sounds like i did? So when changing a Puddle Light in my 2002 Ford Taurus I hit the wire that connected the lighting and lighting case to my mirror. Something sparked and my interior lighting, glove box lighting, and mirror lighting is not working. Is this something as simple as a fuse?
- I have a 2010 Ford Mustang and every time it rains it sounds like the water is accumulating in the door? I have a 2010 Ford Mustang and every time it rains it sounds like the water is accumulating in the door. Is there a drain or plug that I need to attend to?
- How to change what your car sounds like? I'm building project car/sports buggy with my dad, dad's mate and his son and I was wondering what parts make a car sounds like what it does. I want it to sound like a Chevy camaro or ford mustang gt500 where it's got a really bad *** intense wobble wobble wobble wobble. I'm sure the engine makes noise. I've read online that the exhaust can be changed to make a different sound too. Not sure if its true though. Not really experienced at this stuff.
- On my 2004 ford fusion my fob don't work the alarm sounds soon as I put the key into the door and turn it? If I pull the central locking fuse out the alarm stops so it's drivable but was wondering what could be doing it as I was thought to believe if I put the key into the ignition the alarm should stop but it don't any ideas would be most appreciated
