Issue with car vibrating at 40-45 mph?

I have 2005 Ford Tarus with around 100,000 miles on it. I'm having an issue with vibration problems around the 40-45 mph on highway. I have had the struts and shocks replaced have purchased 4 new steel rims and purchased two sets of tires. The first set of tires I purchased were cooper tires and the dealer balanced them several times but they car would still vibrate. Assuming there maybe an issue with the tires I purchased 4 new Michelin tires same issue. I gave my mother the set of cooper tires and she had them put on her impala and her car rides smooth with them so now I'm wondering what could be causing my car to vibrate. I have had a road force balance done and four wheel alignment done at firestone and was advised the tires were fine. Any advise would be appreciated as I have no clue where to go from here.

My similar problem was fixed by replacing the idler arm

(then I got rid of the Ford)

The first thing i would have done is check track rod ends for wear. Then anti roll bar rubbers .followed by suspension connections… Any wear in these part can cause a feeling like unbalanced wheels

Cheak Exhaust bracket

Check the cv joints. I'm guessing there's a stiff one. Replace the axle with a rebuilt one.

Why would spend money on another set of tires? Since the boneheads at Firestone can't figure it out you should go to a real garage. A worn out tie rod end, rubber bushing, CV axle joint.

Surely they have checked your wheel bearings?

Surely they have checked your wheel bearings?

Yes i do

Check the cv joints.

Get your tires rebalanced.

  • Why is my car vibrating and making noises? When I turn the car on, it makes a loud noise. I hear the noise all throughout when I'm driving. When I'm at slow speeds, I don't' really hear the noise. Also, the car vibrates also. I feel it especially in the gas pedal. Not sure what's wrong/. Ford told me it was a motor mount and a mechanic said the exhaust needed to be changed. I did both and I still hear the noise and feel the vibration. What could be wrong? I'm running out of possibilities
  • What causes problems starting a car and the engine to misfire going over 60 mph? This problem started about two months ago. I have a 2006 Ford Taurus. So far no mechanic can figure out the problem. They have replaced all of the spark plugs (numerous times because they keep going bad), an engine coil, the crankshaft position sensor, the battery, did a tune-up, ran a $100 diagnostic test and still the problem occurs. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem? I forgot that they also did a coolant flush.
  • Car shakes still? My 94 Ford Taurus shakes on the highway. 65-80 mph and after 80 it stops? I've gotten new tie rods, a realignment, new breaks, and resurfaced rotors, and it still happens to shake even though the mechanic said that the problem was the rotors being warped. Before I spend more money on the damned thing I was wondering if anyone here had some insight to why it's still shaking on the highway. One thing I've noticed is that when I accelerate a chirping sound ensues and chirps faster as I go faster? Any ideas? Please?
  • 2007 Ford Ranger rear end jerks on acceleration after a downshift at about 20 MPH? 2007 Ford Ranger 28,000 miles, 8.8" Rear axle 3:18 gears auto trans. Every now and then when I accelerate from around 20 MPH and the truck downshifts there's a small jerk in the rear end a second after the downshift. Is this normal? I just bought the truck and never had RWD before. If someone knows what the problem is that would be awesome!
