Is this a reasonable way to look at the Ford- Kavanaugh controversy (see details)?

Just forget about it at this point. Que Sera Sera. Right or wrong, it's out of our hands. If Kavanaugh is confirmed, fine. If not, fine.

There's no way we're ever really going to know for sure, or even halfway for sure. The FBI investigation was just too short. Currently, it's still a case of "he said, she said."

The bottom line is that there's nothing we can do about it., whether we want Kavanaugh to be confirmed or not.

If the Democrats hadnt been looking for ways to wreck the nomination we would not have heard about any mishaps in high school by the judge. I would bet all of the justices have some skeletons in their closet.

The investigation was not short. In truth no investigation was necessary as the person making the accusation had nothing for investigators to go on.

Yes.

That's about the just of it.

Not exactly he said she said, Fords story is totally UNBELIEVABLE!

Kavanaugh is/was going to be confirmed anyway, as the Republicans see Supreme Court nominations as a lynchpin of their agenda, such as when they refused to give Obama's nominee (Garland) a hearing for an entire year despite his being qualified and that there was an empty seat on the court for all that time.

I agree in general, but it was not a "he said/she said." It's a "he said/they said," and the women in this case have far more credibility, have been far more honest, have asked for FBI to investigate, etc. There are things you can use to evaluate conflicting claims. It happens every day.
