In a tricky situation. Looking to lease a car but poor job history. Any tips?
I'm looking to lease a new car… I just started a new job a few months ago so I have poor employment history. I also only make $12 an hour but work full time. I have good credit though. I'm around 750 for all three credit bureaus. And I currently don't have any other bills to pay, I have all my credit cards paid off and I don't have any rent or other bills except insurance. I'm apart of the A/z plan at ford and have about 1500 saved up for a down payment. Looking to have a car payment under 250.
The only people I have to cosign are my parents. They have been at their jobs for 25+ years and make 50k each a year. The only downfall to them is their credit is in the low 500s.
Do I have any chance of getting approved? Do they take the lowest credit score and is my interest going to be super high? Or would I be better to just go without a cosigner.
Your parents scores won't allow them to qualify. Your credit is fine. You will have better luck & rate on your own.
A cosigner with a lower credit score than you is useless
So do I have any chances at leasing a car then? Even though I just started a new job?
Why are you going to throw a ton of money away renting a car? Especially if you are only making $12/hr?
No chance, Your credit is meaningless without a job and your parents are of no value as a cosigner.
Look at it as a blessing. Leasing will only make your situation worse.
Maybe after 2 years on the full time job & income over $2000 a month.
Your situation is not close to being tricky. Its cut & dry.
Lenders require no less than six months of full-time employment history, and a minimum verifiable income of at least $1700-$2000 per month, in addition to sufficient credit/credit history. Not meeting income or emplyment requirements is going to get you denied automatically.
Your job history sucks, and although you have a 750, lenders also look at your credit history. Any 19 year-old can have a 750, with a $500 credit card. To be approved for a lease, ideally, you should be at least 25 years-old, and have good auto credit (at least two cars). Your parents job history means nothing, as their credit is horrible. Sorry, but it's just not going to happen. You could probably get approved for a purchase, but not a lease.
The basic problem is that leasing a car is at least as oppressive as financing one. If you lose your job during the lease you will be in a very bad spot. Stay away from the whole lease or finance scene until you have a job you an reasonably count on for three years.
You have a chance, although very small. The job history and income are the major issues. Any lender or lease finance company wants to have some assurance that that you can hold a job and make enough money to support yourself and your car payment -- and not have to end the lease early. Leasing is best for people who have a stable lifestyle and job situation -- which you do not.
You've asked for opinion. You have no business financing a car, regardless of he method
- What is the make/model of this car? Very poor photo? I'm thinking that this is a early 2000s Ford Taurus judging from its front vent/grille and stock rims, or could it be something else. Thanks, this was the getaway vehicle for a burglary attempt. Here's the photo:
- I'm in high school and about to get my first car looking for a loud, fast and good looking car So far I have looked into ford mustangs, I have a choice between a 2007 ford mustang gt with a 8 cylinder motor with automatic transmission, or I can get a 2013 mustang v6. My question is which of the two cars is a faster and louder car cause I would like to show it off and have heads turn by its engine as I drive off on the street. Thank you very much about to get my first car looking for a loud, fast and good looking car?
- Looking to buy a car privately which hasn't been serviced in 4 years but only 9000km (they bought the car brand new)? As above. the car is a Ford EcoSport 1.5 titanium it has 9000km only but they say they've never had it serviced? should I stay away from this car? also, since there's no service history could this be a case of odometer roll back fraud?
- Is Christine Ford like one of those celebrity stalkers. She has imagined a whole history with Kavanaugh but has never even met him? I think Brad Pitt had a woman swear she was married to him secretly for 10 years.,… Ford seems like the same kind of of case
