I have been to parties were Socialists and Conservatives have also been. Mind you, few would talk to each other. I as a Liberal could chat to both bunches quite easily despite each accusing me of being the other or just 'sitting on the fence.'. Luckily, I can take a joke.

But of course, they were in high school, too young to be registered with a political party; and if their political views were different, there was still no reason not to go to the same events.
