I tried to fix the battery wires
I will visit the dealer tomorrow
I will let you all know about it
The internal alternator regulator or diode trio is probably shot in the alternator and it's starting to flake out.
Rolomatic is correct about the diodes. If faulty it could be putting out to high of a voltage or too much alternating current where D/C is required. I have seen bad ignition switches do this too.
If you lost everything you lost the battery connection be it the positive or the ground. Maybe you just need to tighten the terminals up.
You should check your battery then go see a mechanic
Intermittent short - wiring problem.
Check your battery, battery leads then examine all the wiring you can easily see.
If no breaks/cracks then its a garage job to find the short.
- Should Sears and Ford HIRE Dotard McTiny as their CEO and get profitable again! If he can get Foreign Diplomats and American Lobbyists to? Pay $350.00/night to sleep in a tiny room in an old Post Office and keep it FULL and VERY PROFITABLE, don't you think that he could come up with an idea to save 40+ thousand American jobs?
- 99 Ford ranger XLT base model. Park lights, dash lights, and license plates lights out I checked online and realized it was probably a fuse which it is. Fuse 11 in my power distribution box. The problem is I keep replacing at and soon as I turn on my lights it blows instantly. Have replaced it multiple times. So then I looked under my truck and disconnected the wiring to my taillights and replaced the fuse, it worked it didn't blow. Dash lights and license plates lights were on so I figured some where there's a problem with the brake lights. Any suggestions?
- My car is overheating not leaking and swicthing on and off again and again? - Headlights, instrument cluster lights, tail lights, and dome light all stopped working at once? 1995 Mustang GT convertible, fuses are good, switch is good. I'm about to do a voltage drop test on it tomorrow but I wanted to see if you Ford guys knew something that I'm overlooking.
