How old is it?
What kind of vehicle did it originally come from?
Photos are helpful, as are casting numbers.
You haven't given any useful information besides "V8". How about a photo? How many bolts hold the valve cover on?
- Where can I find engine size in 1996 Ford Econoline Passenger Van? I want to change oil in my van, I just bought it used a few months ago. Owner's Manual lists 4 different engine sizes for it. I can't find anything under the hood or any paper ID that lists the engine size for it. Just wondering if anyone else has any ideas. It's a van with a short hood and the engine can't be seen from under the hood.
- Aren't you amazed by the capabilities and the size of today's full-size pickup trucks? I drive a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4x2 with a 4.0 liter V6 (~245 ci.) engine. I was looking up the specs for early-mid 1960s F100s (considered full-size), and they have nearly the same GVWR, towing capacity, payload, horsepower, wheelbase, and height as my "compact" truck. In your opinion, do you think today's full-size trucks are amazing or too fancy/over-sized (a traditionalist like me)? P.S.: I like all American vehicles
- How to find out where my engine block came from? Found this marking on the block, I know it's an Ford 302 5.0. But I don't know how to find out the year or where it was made.
