I have a 99 Ford e-350 5.4l. Just changed the starter. Still won't start. Starts when I jump the starter with a screwdriver. Any ideas?

Just keep changing things with no idea what you're doing. That always works.
Can be bad ignition switch.
Get a test light and test for power at the ignition switch. You're looking for the test light to go on when turning the key to the start position. If you get a signal note the color of the wire and go to the neutral safety switch and test for power in and out to the starter solenoid trigger wire. Have you tried starting it in neutral yet?
The starter draws a lot of battery power - Make sure the cable-clamps & the battery posts are clean.
Starter will be OK. So work from other points in system. E.g. Ignition switch. Cable. Relay. Use a test light or meter to check for power from ignition to starter. We will need assistant probably to hold in cranking position when doing part of this. The screwdriver trick works as power is fed direct from battery to motor when jumping. Ergo we have a power supply problem to starter. Assuming ( not familiar with this truck) starter solenoid is mounted on starter itself. Then that will be new as well as starter itself. If its mounted say on bulkhead? Then also check that out as would then be the most likely suspect.
- I have 1998 Ford Windstar as of now when I put in drive/reverse it won't move. It just revs. The car starts up fine? It started while I was driving down the road and I pressed the gas to go a little faster and my rpm went up to 4 and went down. I have an automatic too. There's no burnt smell in my transmission fluid stick/tank. I just left the gas station before this happened if that helps. Any ideas? Someone suggest my second/reverse band and I have never heard of it.
- Ford F-150 Truck started, ran rough. Now won't start at all. Any ideas? 1977 Ford F-150 with carburetor, 8 cylinders. After several attempts, it started immediately (without the usual starter crank-up sound), ran loud & rough like a lawnmower. I turned it off, now it won't start. Starter is strong, battery full, airfilter good, fresh fuel is reaching the carb. Weather is hot and slightly humid. Anyone have a guess?
- Car won't start even with jump start? I have a Ford Escort 2001. I checked the battery at Auto Zone, told me it was fine and had charge. The alternator is also good. The starter is also fine. When I turn the key there's no clicks. The lights on the dashboard stay on. Does anyone know what it could be? I've also checked the cables and connections.
