I have a 2006 Ford Freestar, and the front washer will not operate. All fuses are fine. Is there a relay on the wiper motor itself?

Added (1). Additionally, we've tested power at the pump where I read voltage only when turning on the rear washer. At the fuse box, I read power for the following:
1. Front Wipers
2. Rear Wipers
3. Rear Wash

But, no power runs through the fuse box when pushing the wand inwards to start the front window washer, which I believe should happen seeing as that the wipers and their corresponding washer (front/rear) run on the same fuse (#54/55) and the fact that it does that for the rear.

Added (2). We've seen in an old posting that the wiper motor has a relay built in, possibly explaining why the rear pump would work but not the front (in that posting). Could that be the problem or has anyone heard/experienced anything similar to this?

Here's the diagram. Again, why not make make a simple pump operation as complicated as possible, frikkin' engineers. The bottom two wires are grounds. Make sure that is good. The integrated circuit controls the relay.
Good luck. This is the 2004 diagram. I have a 2006 Ford Freestar, and the front washer will not operate. All fuses are fine. Is there a relay on the wiper motor itself - 1

Your vehicle is almost 12 years old, perhaps the motor is just worn out.

  • I have a 2006 Ford Freestar SEL? 2 weeks ago as I was driving I heard a blast of air then my van wouldnt go. It was still running but wouldnt kick in to gear so i coasted into an approach. I put it in park then reverse n each of the other gears but it wouldnt go. My husband checked the transmission fluid and level and said it was fine. Does this mean I need to replace the whole transmission?
  • My 2004 Ford F150 was running fine on good Friday, and the next day Saturday evening my motor was tapping? My 2004 Ford F150 was running fine on last Friday, and Saturday evening my lifters was making an loud nocking sound, I took it to an mechanic and he told me its my lifters, or the cam phases, It seems impossible for that to happen in one day. I have 148,000 mile on the vehicle. Like I said it was running fine on good Friday. My mechanic suggest that I don't fix it and buy an new motor. Can anyone help me on the situation
  • I have a 1989 Ford F-150 2wd I recently swapped the motor, tranny, front and rear off a 94? I swapped everything off a 94 to make it automatic with 4wd but the plugs coming off the transmission don't match ou and I'm missing a big plug "the wiring is off the 89" and it won't shift I've changed the speed sensor and the transmission filter would those plugs not matching up cause it to not shift while driving?
