Something is weak in the ignition…
Replace the coil, plugs and wires.
Sounds spark related to me, consider checking &/or replacing the plugs & plug wires.
My 1994 Ford truck started to do the same thing, felt like skipping or missing but no check engine light. I inspected the spark plug wires and found corrosion on one of the wires where it plugs into the distributor. Replacing the distributor cap and spark plug wires fixed the problem for me.
- Why do some companies like Ford have a 5year warranty and others like Hyundai have a 10year warranty? Does the company with the longer warranty trust in their product longer? Or they know that the owner will have to do a ton of repairs and without a back up no one would ever buy them?
- Rattling noise coming from passenger side possibly engine when going up steep hills, for ranger? I ave a 2007 ford ranger and recently when going up hills there has been a rattling noise that seems to come from the passenger side towards the engine or front of the truck. What could cause this? I also recently had an oil change, and they put 5w30 in instead of the recommended 5w20, could any of this be a cause?
