How to unlock my ford radio 6000cd car radio?
Hai the radio of my second hand car, ford mondeo 2002, is asking unlock10 and I don't have the code of 6000cd
If you give me the Serial Number of the vehicle, I can get it for you.
You need the serial number of the radio to request the 4 digit code for that radio. The code for other radios will not work for yours.
You only have 3 more tries to enter the real code, before you will either buy a new one or pay a lot to get it fixed.
If it shows lock followed by numbers, it is in a wait / delay cycle caused by improper code entry for that number of attempts. It's an extra anti theft / security thing.
Lock 10 comes up when the wrong code has been entered 10 times, Lock 13 comes up when the wrong code has been entered 13 times.
Lock 10 can be bypassed by holding in 6 while switching the radio ON.
If the number reaches 13, only a ford dealer or radio decode service can fix.
The LOCK 13 fix involves removing the radio, removing the id chip and resetting it to factory defaults, reassemble and input the proper code after it is reinstalled in the car to restore service.
This will take time, and will be charged at the usual minimum service labor rate for at least 1/2 hour. It may be less expensive to replace the unit with an after-market radio.
** many of the radios made today come with security codes, and removable face plates to discourage theft.

Try pressing 6+1 or 6+2 together, the number you need will be either M or V followed by six numbers, such as M123456 or V987654.
If the above method doesn't bring up a V or M number, you'll have to take the radio out to find the serial number. This video may help:
