How to clean a cooling system inside an enging?
I've got a 1967 Ford Custom 500. I'm doing some slow work on it with some family and need to clean the cooling system inside the engine. Could you help me out please? Any description helps and a video would be really appreciated.
If you try you tube will find one. Typically you can buy an engine flush that will give instructions also. Try google as well. Look for a ford car club. They can give you tips on fixing up and where to find parts
Vinegar 70% with 30% distilled water for 2 days, run engine for 30 minutes per day. Dump then flush with water and refill antifreeze and distilled water replace thermostat and ALL hoses as well.
The cooling system inside your engine is the antifreeze/water from your radiator.
Hi so as a 50 years plus engine should be melted down to make beer cans.

- Top up of water - CAR - cooling system - anti freeze? I have a low coolant level in my 2004 ford card. i was told i need a top up of antifreeze or just a pure water should do good for the time being. As they say, antifreez is nothing but a mix of water. what is the difference between topping up with pure water and a actual antifree here.
