How do I adjust valves/torque rocker arms on 01 Ford 3.0L OHV?

You don't adjust valves any more because they use hydraulic lifters that fill with oil and expand to the size needed.
If you have a noisy lifter, your oil is too thin or the lifter has collapsed and needs replacing.
I would not pull the head off for a lifter.
You pull the upper and lower intake off to access the lifters.
Find your problem lifter.
Pull intake off.
Take rocker off and slide out push rod.
Pull out lifter with a magnet or needle nose pliers.
Install new lifter and reinstall push rod and rocker.
Torque to 20 ft. Lbs.

You can, t adjust hydraulic valve lifters! You put the rocker on the low cam ( all the way down ) and torque the rocker nut!

Why does every body Parts Houses everybody have a different set of specs on head bolts rocker arms? I have from 29 inch pounds to your 20 foot pounds. It is keeping me on my toes big time. What do you say on head specs for the 01 3.0 liter ranger

I had my Taurus shut off while driving down the road I took the valve cover off and saw I had a cracked rocker arm and a frozen lifter I replaced both and now the vehicle will not run after I checked it all out after mechanic left I saw that on the front side of engine my rocker arms were not firm in place but the original row Infront of it is is that a problem or is there something else I should be doing thanks for any help I put over $300 in the motor and a shady mechanic with no results…

My V6 (3.0 Ford) HAS adjustment screws on the rockers. That is what I need to address, as I knew one was off when I dropped the motor into the truck. Now, I'm tired of it tapping.
