How challenging would it be to swap a new 5.0 coyote into a Crown Vic?
I have a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria P71 and have been contemplating a Coyote swap, especially since it has already been successfully done by at least 1 other Panther owner. I plan on mounting it up with my existing 4R75 transmission since they both share the same bolt pattern and a 6R80 won't do with the existing harness. The question is: how challenging would it be to do this swap? I understand there will be clearance issues with the oil pan and headers, as well as the electric steering vs. My hydraulic power steering, but how challenging would it be to get the fuel, cooling, and wiring systems all in check?
Get onto a ford fan club site and ask. Looking at mounts, wiring maybe radiator, etc. If you have the 4.6 why not take the money and fix it up? Should be same as the mustang 4.6
- Opinions about a 2007 Ford Crown Vic? Thinking about buying this 2006 crown vic. I heard the air ride suspension is a headache to fix. This seems like a good tough car, they use them for Taxi's don't they?
- Is the new 2017 Ford Crown Vic commercially available? Been trying to finance a new car, while I'm open to all options I'm really excited to see if the 2017 Crown Vic models are being sold anywhere. I haven't found anything online that says whether they are or aren't. I don't know if they're only available to police or are just not being sold yet. Any info on that would be a blessing, thanks.
- Is Mercury Grand Marquis/Ford Crown Vic a good 1st car? Looking for a first car and I'm really interested in a Grand Marquis/Ford Crown Vic and want to know opinions on the car as a 1st car and in general. They seem to be well maintained and used lightly by a generally older crowd. Opinions?
- Can I use 50/50 Prestone GREEN coolant in a 2008 ford crown vic Police interceptor? The owner's manual recommends using Motorcraft premium Gold Engine coolant with bittering agent (YELLOW COLORED) but is it ok to just use the green stuff?
