Will high performance spark plugs have any benefit in a non performance car?

To start I have a 2002 Ford Focus ZTS with 150000 miles on it. It needs new spark-plugs, and the only two types the store has that fit my car are Autolite Platinum and Bosch Platinum IR Fusion. My question is for my car, is there any advantage to spending the extra 14$ to get the higher end spark plugs or would it just be a waste of cash?

If they are the ones that are supposed to last longer then they may work out cheaper in the long run but that is all

Nope. No advantage at all. The other answer suggests that the more expensive plugs may last longer, but your car already has 150,000 miles on it. If that were the case, you'd have to keep it until it has more than 300,000 miles to see any benefit from the more expensive plugs.

Go find the proper plugs for your engine at a different store.

The only advantage of those high dollar plugs is LONGER life, like a hundred thousand miles or so, and you won't be running your car that long, so why bother.

Buy the cheapest plugs you can find.

It is a waste of cash, they will do nothing for your car that a regular plug will do. People think that a fancy name will make a difference but it won't.

None whatever. You'd notice more if you put an extra 2 psi in all the tyres.
This car is 3/4 worn out.
