Why my 2012 Ford Fusion 2.5 overheating?
After my car run for about 5 to 10 mins or if I turn my ac on the fan kick on and get loud and it over heats I replaced radiator fan water pump, thermostat, temperature sensor, I don't know wat else it could be it couldn't be the radiator it's not leaking. When it overs it smokes from and bubbles from the side of block
Could be alot of things. Cat could be clogged, radiator could be clogged, thermostats can be bad new, i've had that happen a couple of times…
Head gasket is leaking? I read about the bubbling. Unless you are not using coolant like antifreeze 50/50 and are just using water. Water boils at 100C or 212F. Having coolant in there raises the temperature to like 280 before it will steam. That is the "smoke" you see. Cheaping out on the coolant will wear out the waterpump seal real fast and it will leak sooner… AND… The rad hoses deteriorate faster with plain water. And you will burst a hose sooner. That is a start. Otherwise see a mechanic for him to evaluate.
Steaming from the side of the block sounds pretty bad. Could be a blown head gasket, leaking freeze plug, cracked block, or other coolant leaks. Have the engine pressure tested.
Get a "block test" done by a mechanic to see if the head gasket is bad.
- What car would be better for me 2012 infinity g37 sport or a 2012 mustang gt? I'm 18 and I'm getting ready to get a new car in 2 months. I've been driving an 03 Ford Focus and I'm ready to upgrade. I'm a very responsible driver and I've been driving for almost 4 years. So I wanna know what would be the best vehicle for me. And what is more reliable and cheaper to maintain?
- Lightbar mount For 2012 Ford Fusion or any sedan? Can anyone help find some mounting brackets that will work to install a 50 inch light bar on a Ford Fusion? Dumb question I know. But anyone?
- Is it possible to trade my 2012 Ford Fusion for a small suv and camper? I have a 2012 Ford Fusion I'm thinking about trading it for a small SUV and camper. We're looking at purchasing a 31 ft. Travel trailer to live in over the next year or two It's just my husband and I. Is this something that could be worked out and if so how? Or would is it cause a financial loss to me? Is it more trouble than it is worth? Seeking knowledgeable responses please.
- How many miles is too many? - 2012 Ford Fusion? I have a couple of questions for you guys… I found a 2012 Ford Fusion SEL that I like. The problem is it has a LOT of miles for a 2012, 97k to be exact. Is this something a car buying should stay away from? My other question is how well do 2012 Ford Fusions hold up? How many miles can it be expected to last if it has been taken care of? I'm looking for a used car 2009-current for around or under 13k. Have suggestions? Feel free to let me know!
