What should I replace on my car now that it is at 100,000 miles?

FORD FUSION 2008 SE

Whatever needs to be replaced I can't tell you because I don't know how you've maintained your car

All maintenance is covered by the maintenance schedule. Sometimes it is in the owner's manual, sometimes in a separate booklet that came with the car's paperwork. Other things you can check are the shocks/struts and the front suspension (places that sell and install those will do a free visual inspection in hopes you need what they sell). Otherwise it is life as usual.

Tranny oil filter, plugs cap rotor wires, breaks

Ask your mechanic.

If it has a cam belt then it needs to be replaced

Hi so the whole car would be they best thing as 100k miles or 8 years is what ford designed to last until. So as it l has some value use it as deposit on a new car.

READ the owner's manual. It has several pages devoted to vehicle maintenance, including recommended mileage to replace or service certain parts of the vehicle.

No owner's manual? BUY ONE and THEN read it.

Read to service handbook. Everything you need to know is in there.

25k miles - Fluid changes, Tire rotation and/or change Tune-Up(optional)
50k miles - Above stuff + Tune-up(recommended) Check small things that you can get to, AC freon level, radiator coolant level, transmission fluid level etc.
100k miles - Here's where the fun starts, after 100k, transmissions can start to fail, AC compressors, Distributors, Etc (CAN doesn't mean it will)
You will want to start checking deeper into your system, gaskets/seals, All fluids, fuel pump, fuel injector, just flush them out make sure there clean and free of any gas buildup. If you havn't got a tune-up by now it is a MUST, spark plugs wear down and cause bad idle problems and/or kicking and bucking.

150k - 200k miles, your transmission is likely dead and a few other internal components, this is major work and most people get a new car (Me i'm running 220k miles new transmission, same engine BUT completely rebuilt)
My car died at about 198k miles and it cost me about 3 thousand so far in parts to fix it.
And just FYI i drove it from 0 miles, so i got lucky to get 198k out of it before major rebuilds, most people don't even pass 120k miles, (average tranny life is 100-150k miles)

The driver.
