Honda Accord vs Ford Fusion vs Ford Escape?

I'm a college student looking to buy a nice used car. I've looked around and finally decided to focus on three cars: Honda Accord 2005 EX with 110,000 miles, leather, navigation and sunroof for $9000, Certified Ford Fusion 2011 SE with 67,000 miles and sunroof for $12000 and a non-certified Ford Escape 2009 XLT v6 FWD with 78000 miles, leather and sunroof for $12000. My budget is $13000 and I'm taking a loan to buy those cars(60 months payment down to around $200/month). Since I'm graduating next year I will probably hold onto these cars for two years. The honda is clean, maintained well and everything works, it doesn't have Bluetooth which the fords have. It's marked 9000 which I think is a bit expensive for a 2005. The fusion is really clean, modern and big, and well… Certified. The escape is well maintained as well, rolling over potholes and uneven roads as if they don't exist. I live in Michigan and the snow can get really thick, so I think an SUV may perform well in it. Which car should I buy in terms of resale value, safety and convenience?

Car Won't Accelerate After Oil Change?

I drive a 2011 Ford Fusion and all of the sudden a bit after I got an oil change yesterday my car won't accelerate the same. It will eventually climb its just slower. I press the gas and it doesn't get power just slowly accelerates. When going up hills it has no power now. I can still get up to highway speeds but its a slower climb. It isn't chugging or making weird noises. Just no power when hitting the gas now. Can anyone give me any insight on what it might be. Did they mess up my oil change. Is it a common Ford Glitch like a forum was saying or something else.

My stereo isn't playing my CD's? How can I fix it?

I have a ford fusion. Lately I've been having problems with the stereo. It used to work fine before but now it won't play my CDs. I can only listen to the radio. All my CDs are originals. They aren't burned CDs at all. Whenever I put a CD inside the slot it reads,"loading CD". When I eject it, it reads "ejecting CD". So Why isn't my stereo playing my CDs?

2006 ford fusion wrench light?

My 2006 ford fusion boggles down when I come to a stop, and then shifts hard but won't go out of 1st gear. It has 170,000 miles. I've changed spark plugs and recent oil change. Does anyone know what this could mean?

Which of these cars is the best?

Hi, I'm in need of a car expert. I have a few cars I'm looking at in the 14k price range. I'm looking for great reliability, some features, and something that keeps its value over time. I have looked each of these cars up only to find tons of mixed reviews, some say it's great others say it's terrible! I do not know much about cars so bear with me! Thanks as always to anyone who helps out.

Why won't my 2006 Ford Fusion accelerate while the a/c is on?

My car has 198,000 miles. We had to replace the engine a couple years ago, the replacement engine had 68,000 miles when we put it in. In the past 4 months it has become a nightmare to drive. It WILL NOT accelerate while the a/c is on. What can I do about this? It's driving me insane, Texas heat and a car that I can't drive with the air on sucks!

How many miles is too many? - 2012 Ford Fusion?

I have a couple of questions for you guys… I found a 2012 Ford Fusion SEL that I like. The problem is it has a LOT of miles for a 2012, 97k to be exact. Is this something a car buying should stay away from? My other question is how well do 2012 Ford Fusions hold up? How many miles can it be expected to last if it has been taken care of?

I'm looking for a used car 2009-current for around or under 13k. Have suggestions? Feel free to let me know!

What's considered structural damage to a car in New York?

I'm looking at purchasing a 2012 Ford Fusion from a dealership. The car was previously a lease in NY and was sold at an auction in PA. The dealer provided a car fax for the car and it states there's structural damage to the vehicle. I called and spoke to the dealership sales rep and he said NY and NJ consider damage to the outside of the car structural damage a well. There's a small crack on the bottom of the front bumper (looks like driver bottomed our turning) and the driver side mirror is cracked (they are replacing).

There's no accident or air bag deployments reported on the car fax. Car fax also guarantees that it was not salvaged or rebuilt.

So, my question is, is he telling the truth that NY & NJ consider structural damage when the car is damaged on the outside? Like the cracked mirror and cracked bumper?

Just to be clear, the crack in the bumper is very minor and the only part on the mirror that is broken is the actual mirror (spider cracks). The part that hold the mirror to the car is not damage.

Purchased a new 2014 ford fusion and found paint peeling?

I purchased a 2014 ford fusion on august 1st and drove it back down to florida where I attend college on august 4th. On august 7th I gave my car a hand wash with a microfiber cloth and noticed paint peeling on the car where the exhaust is and I know its impossible for a rock to have touched it in that spot so it must've been there when I purchased the car and I didn't notice. My question is, since I drove my car 1200 miles away from where it was purchased what should I do about the peeling paint?

2007 Ford Fusion with code p061b and wrench light on?

I was driving down the interstate and put cruise on, and it kicked on and then went off by itself and then the wrench light came on. My cruise control no longer works. The manual says the wrench light means a powertrain/AWD fault. Well, no AWD on this car.

I drove to my destination and erased the code. I noticed it seems less powerful but it seems to be shifting okay. The RPM's don't seem quite right, though. I drove home, about 25 miles, and the code never came back on.

The dealer was closed when I was in town, but I'm going to call someone tomorrow and get this car checked out. I know it could be something with the power control module, but would I hurt something if I drive it? There's a town about 10 miles away, and I might be able to find someone there to take a look at it, otherwise the dealer is about 30-35 miles down the road.

It has been fine before… Could it have something to do with the cruise control or throttle?
