Is this a good car for city driving and long trips?
I'm 19 and I'm looking to get a new car next year. I currently have a Ford Taurus. I like it but, it needs a lot of work. I'm planning to transfer colleges over 1,000 miles away. I plan to drive there and I'm looking for a car that can handle a long road trip and city driving. I want a roomy trunk and interior. I'm highly considering the 2010-2012 Ford Taurus Limited FWD. I've always liked this car. It has modern features for a good price. I know they're reliable. Every one from these years has a 3.5L V6 (SHO is turbocharged) and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2010-2012 Ford Taurus a good car for these things?
Added (1). It will be driven mostly in the city. I was considering the same year Fusion but I'm not a fan of the low ride height and the interior.
Added (2). There will be NO PAYMENTS. I'm paying cash.
I don't knw
- Is it safe to drive a ford ranger on the freeway for long trips? Can a ford ranger safely sustain speeds of 85-90 mph without any problems at all? I'm looking for a pickup truck that can haul stuff and is good for driving off roaming occasionally but I also what a pickup that has good performance as well. My question is can a 2007 ford ranger XLT 4.0 v6 5 speed manual sustain speeds of 85-90 mph or is that pushing the limits of this truck?
- Would 2015 Ford Mustang GT be good as a daily driver in the city? Just wondering. Also want to know if the 2015 Corvette Stingray would be good as a daily driver in the city (probably not) but I want to know some reasons why the corvette is good/bad as a daily driver and the mustang.
- Would a ford focus 2012 with 80k miles last a long time given that i treat it right and only take it within the city from and to work? As long as the car would last me 5 years minimum but i don't know jack about cars so if i could have an expert give me a diagnosis i would gladly appreciate it
- Is 26mpg city driving good fuel consumption? I'm looking at getting my first car which is a 2003 Ford focus 2.0L and it says the city driving is 26mpg and 34mpg on the highway. Is that good?
