Is The Ford Fusion Energi a Fully Electric Car Like a Tesla?
I was Wondering If the Ford Fusion Energi Platanium and Titanium (Sorry if I misspelled anything) A fully electric just like a Tesla Thanks for any reply!
It's a hybrid.
Nope - it's a hybrid.
The only fully electrics (other than the Tesla Model X and S) widely available are the BMW i3, Chevy Bolt, and Nissan Leaf.
The Fiat 500e, Ford Focus Electric, Kia Soul EV, Mercedes B250e, Smart ForTwo Electric Drive, and Volkswagen e-Golf are only available in a few states.
The Mitsubishi i-MiEV is barely available, and the Hyundai IONIQ Electric is currently only available in Europe (like the Opel Ampera E and Renault Zoe), but is supposedly coming to the US.
There are a couple of custom jobs like the Rimac Concept_One (very limited), but there are a growing number of people converting cars to full electric (mostly hobbyists).
- What will take you to buy a all electric car. What minimum range would you like? I'm looking at the Detroit car show and gm and ford are really pushing electric and self driving cars. I'm wondering how most people will pay for one of these cars.
- After running a few minutes my clutch quites fully disengaging? I have a 93 Ford Ranger v6 5sp. I replaced the slave cylinder a few months ago, while I was at it I changed tranny fluid and the clutch. Just recently it has been acting up. At a cold start the clutch works fine, but after a 10 minutes of driving it quits fully disengaging. If I take my foot off the brake it will roll forward like it is half engaged. Any ideas what to do?
- What's wrong with my 2004 ford ka? Even when my clutch is fully pressed it will cut out? When my clutch is fully pressed it will sometimes cut out. Sometimes the gear stick gets stuck in a gear meaning I have to stall my car to be able to reapply the clutch and change gear and sometimes the car won't go into a gear!
- Has Tesla shown the rest of the world how great American cars are? It's one of the most talked about cars in the world. Its stock has been steadily growing in the past five years and it is expected to do so into the near future as Tesla is about to release its $35,000 car model. More than anything, I'm surprised ford, gm, and chrysler have not taken a page from Tesla's success story.
