Is the 2011 Fusion SE a reliable car?

Looking to buy a used car. Ford isn't usually the brand I would start by looking at but it seems like everyone selling cars near me is like "here s a Toyota Camry with 200,000 miles for 5000 dollars." So I thought I would look outside of what I normally would. I saw a 2011 fusion SE with 115,000 miles (about 10,000 higher than it should be) for 5k. How reliable is a fusion on average? Is it worth taking a look?

I personally would never buy a used car with over 50,000 miles on it. Good idea to buy an extended warranty from a dealer as well.

Its not as good as a Mazda or Hyundai.
(or toyota or honda)

I would try to find one of the first 2. Ideally with under 90k.

Try govdeals. I got mine off there a few years ago. Drug seizure. Paid somewhere between wholesale & private party value.

You should NOT be shopping at car dealers because they sell $3000-3300 cars for $5000.

There's a 20-percent chance of rain. What recourse do you have if you get soaked?

Statistics, when you get down to the single-car level, don't mean much of anything. The wise man hires a skilled mechanic at his own expense to check out every car under consideration. Most people are not wise, and indeed pride themselves on it.

Regardless of the reliability reputation of a particular car brand, any single used car can be very reliable, very unreliable, or somewhere in between. Remember, it's a *used* car. It's been owned before, it's been used. Depending on how it's been driven, maintained, and whether it's been wrecked before has much to do with any used car's future reliability.

The *only* way to get an idea of a used car's condition and future reliability is to have it inspected by a professional mechanic *before* you buy. Otherwise, you pays your money and takes your chances.

Maybe

It is a Ford. God created s**t, Ford put it on wheels

No.

Ford it's good but be careful because there's cars little miles and cheap but maybe has accidents before so you have to check the car a lot but I prefer Japanese cars because she's very economy

No

The bigger question is this. How reliable is any $5000 car with over 100,000 miles?

The answer, Not very reliable at all.
