Is a 2013 ford fusion a good buy with 114000 miles?

Shopping for my first car and I came across a ford fusion 2013 for 8k with 114000 miles on it. I was just wondering if it's a good buy?

That's a huge number of miles in such a short time. Get it checked carefully, it's been heavily used.

No. It's a high mileage vehicle for the year. I wouldn't pay a dime over $6500, and that's only if it comes with complete maintenance records.

The Ford certainly has higher than average mileage of a four year old vehicle. By quite a bit in fact. However, with that type of mileage it is obvious it was mainly used for highway driving. This is good, because in general highway driving is more gentle on a motor vehicle compared to city driving.

It the seller can show you PROOF the Ford has been fully and properly serviced and maintained throughout its life it should still be considered.

No. Don't buy it.

The high mileage ought to be reflected in sale price. Check against car buyer guide. If used extensively for long journeys it may work out but if short stop start? Then not a good buy. Is there a warranty period? Have we or will we get a mechanics report?( not that these are brilliant but can show up any major defect we overlook)
full service history with stamps in log book AND receipts is essential. Otherwise we may well be better off saving cash and investing in something else.
