I doubt you can do so. Both original keys to my Ford were necessary to program a duplicate I had cut at the hardware store. Ring your local Ford dealer.
Ask your mom, since she probably set it that way.
Go to an automotive locksmith, not a hardware store. They can recode your key and make you a copy too. I got mine done when I lost the only key I had to my truck.
