Car is making creaking noise?
I have a 2011 Ford Fusion SE and it's been making a creaking noise when turning or hitting bumps/driving rougher roads. It's been to the mechanic a few times for the power steering recall and a damaged hub bearing and wheel due to hitting a pot hole. I was told by one mechanic that it needs new ball joints and lower control arms. Should I get a second opinion or is that the main cause of this noise? I recorded it and can send upon request. May post on YouTube too.

This is a tough problem to find. I was taking mine to a mechanic who would repair something or another (such as wheel bearings on both sides) and it would stop squeaking for a short time and then start all over again after a few days. Well I found out the mechanic was also lubing the struts. So I think the problem was that the car needed new struts, but the mechanic knew I was going to get a new car before investing in struts. So he would replace something, and then lube the struts to keep them from squeaking long enough that I thought he fixed one problem, but something else was going out. Once I figured out what was going on, I gave up traded it in on a new car.
A second opinion would seem to be a reasonable thing to get.
- Suspension creaking/moaning over bumps or breaking at low speeds? My 2004 Ford falcon has a bad moaning/creaking sound come from the front left of the car when going over small bumps or breaking what could this be?
- My car is making noise when I turn the wheel, what could be causing it? I put power steering fluid in and double checked it to make sure it was full, which it is. But whenever I turn the wheel it still makes a terrible noise, i almost want to not drive it anymore just because of that noise. Anyone have an idea what it could be? Is it the power steering pump maybe? If it helps, my car is a 2001 Ford Mustang, FWD. The noise is coming from the front of the car.
- Drove over hill too fast and car is making a thumping noise? I have a 2003 ford focus. Today I was driving and went to make a turn fast and went up a hill and it hit my car and made a loud noise. When pulled up my car started making a thumping noise I thought that it was the tire but when I popped the good and accelerated while in drive the engine was moving up it's still running fine but moving and making a thump when accelerating. What could be wrong with it please help.
