2013 Ford Fusion engine problems. What to do?

I have a 2013 Ford Fusion that I've had for a little over three years. On Sunday, without warning my car stalled and I got an engine overheated message which happened two times before due to a recall. I was told it would be $7000 to fix my car because it's no current recall. I had a warranty but apparently the warranty has ran out and Ford is saying that there's nothing they could do. Is this right?

You must have overlooked an overheat indication before the engine stalled. I check my car's coolant temperature until it gets to normal and then monitor it from time to time. If you fail to do this you end up with a wrecked engine as you now know. Even if the warranty had been in place it would not cover negligence. The $7000 quotation seems high to say the least. Start making phone calls until a shop comes up with a sensible estimate.

Plenty of Fusion engines in a junkyard. Or you can just junk the car and buy a new Accord. Next time, WATCH the temp gauge and pull over IMMEDIATELY when the temp gauge is on the "H".

  • Shifting problems and intake problems? I drive a 1997 ford ranger with a 2.3l automatic. I have recently experienced a hard shifting in my truck even when I'm not on the gas it has problems shifting. And I cleaned my air filter and filter hose that goes to my throttle body and there was transmission fluid in the hose. What can be causing this and how can I fix it or how much will it cost roughly?
  • What should I buy and why? 2013 ford fusion it 2013 civic coupe? I like the sporty edge of Both the coupe and fusion, but they're very different cars. I'm a male. Want gas mileage
  • Max out my 2013 ford fusion performance? Ok so I wanna turn my 2013 ford fusion into a beast! Or at least as much of a best that it can become lol. Yea I know it is a ford and yea I know it's a fusion. More Eco then anything huh? So I don't really need brands or anything. I just wanna know what to add how to make it roar with a deep growl. Look I'm not expecting much. But I want whatever I can get. So someone, please help
  • Is the oil for a 2013 Ford Fusion synthetic only? Just went to Pep Boys and wanted a conventional oil change on my car, which takes 5W-20. Apparently their records state that they "can only legally put in synthetic oil" since it's what the manufacturer recommends. The last time I was here they did it with normal oil, no problem. Did I just get screwed?
